Memories made on the dance floor

Class of 2019 President Max Kroell dedicated his time with the other Class Cabinet members to make the last dance the seniors shared together the best one yet.
“We have been meticulously planning senior events, specifically Senior Ball for a long time,” Max said. “I can honestly say that Senior Ball was a tremendous success. From the food, to the music, to the venue, it was definitely one of the better Senior Balls in recent memory.”
Lissi Przybys is the vice president of the Class of 2019 and played an important role in the planning of Senior Ball. She worked on many of the details of the dance.
“There was the making of the tickets, the collection of centerpieces and throwback pictures, and the booking of the catering, DJ, and location,” Lissi said. “It was so surreal to see my vision finally all come together after all the hard work that was put into it.”
Lissi believes that the “Memories” theme of Senior Ball added a special touch to the night.
“By doing [the memories theme], I think it was all more personal, showing that every picture truly tells a story of the memories we’ve shared throughout the years,” Lissi said. “It seemed that everyone was really enjoying some of their last moments together, and we were lucky enough for the rain to hold off for the most part.”
The Rolling Rails Lodge is the same venue that held last year’s Senior Ball. Rolling Rails overlooks the mountains and provides outdoor space as well. At this year’s event, a canopy was set up outdoors to provide additional space outside of the venue.
The music selection proved to be a hit this year, as the DJ played the popular Jonas Brothers.
Senior Gretchen Little was content with this year’s Senior Ball.
“I think that this year’s Senior Ball was really great. Rolling Rails is a beautiful venue and it was a wonderful way to end our senior year,” Gretchen said.
Gretchen feels that the large number of students in attendance “really shows how close our class is. We’ve been looking forward to this time and dance for four years.”
