Children are generally active and imaginative people who love to play and have fun. When purchasing a gift for a child, you should keep this in mind. However, it can still be difficult to find just the right item. The following list is compiled of stores in the area that feature items for children of all ages.

• The Animal Kingdom is a toy store located in State College. They have a wide variety of toys that include many stuffed animals, as well as several items that will make any imaginative child happy.
• Growing Tree Toys is a new shop in State College that offers a “wide selection of quality toys for children of all ages.” Growing Tree also offers curbside pickup to help ease any pandemic fears.

Teens

Teenagers can perhaps be one of the most challenging age groups to find gifts for, as their interests vary wildly and can change from year to year. To help you out, below is a list with stores in the State College area that offer items that will be sure to be a hit for any teen in your life.

• Technology is always a teen-favorite, and while there are no locally owned tech stores in the area, shopping at chain stores such as Target and Best Buy can still in some ways support local employees.
• Teens that enjoy spending time with their family or who have a creative side may enjoy a gift from 2000 Degrees, a local pottery-painting business. It is currently closed to in-studio sessions, but the shop is allowing anyone to purchase a painting kit (with pottery) to complete at home. 

Adults

    Finding gifts for adults can often be difficult as well, especially for those you may not know well. However, the list below is certain to have a range of local stores that offer a wide variety of gifts. It should be noted that adults enjoy many of the same things teenagers do, such as technology and streaming service subscriptions.
