On January 10 in Montoursville, PA, Bellefonte’s Academic Decathlon (ACDEC) team competed in a scrimmage. There are two scrimmages held before district which is on February 3. More than 10 Bellefonte students competed in 4 events.. Bellefonte placed 4th out of 8 schools. 

Junior Emma Shawley enjoyed her time during this competition. 

“I love the group that we have and we always make it as fun as we can. I also like when we get lunch break and get to eat together and talk about our day,” said.

Davis Corman- Gold in music and economics 

Grace Novitsky- Silver in economics

Emma Shawley- Bronze in math

Josie Underwood- Bronze in music

Scholastic Division

Noah Aberegg- Gold in economics, Silver in math, bronze in music and science

Ruby Bjalme- Gold in math

Ethan Wilson- Gold in math, silver in economics and science, bronze in music

Varsity Division

Grady Garrison- Gold in music and math, Silver in science, bronze in economics.

Hayden Friel- Gold in math and econ, silver in science.

These students will compete this Friday at Penns Valley in a 12-hour competition to see who will move on to states.
