Senior Cecilia Mazzocco  is a master of all things. She works wonders on the stage and takes the lead behind the scenes.

Cecilia is moving on to great things after graduation to follow her dreams.

“I am pursuing a BFA (Bachelors in Fine Arts) in Musical Theatre at Kent State University,” she said. “I am pursuing acting as a career, specifically theater. I chose this path because I love to perform and get to tell stories that need to be told.”

Aside from Fine Arts, Cecilia is involved in many clubs, inside and outside of BAHS.

“I am founder/president of B the Change, president of Student Council, drum major in Marching Band, secretary of Model UN, as well as part of Class Cabinet, Drama, Choir, Chorale, Concert and Jazz Band, and NHS. I am also Miss Bellefonte. Out of school, I am a tap dancer and I teach tap to kids, as well as participate in community and private theater companies.”

Senior Madigan Ashe says that Cecilia makes it a good time whenever she is around just hanging out or playing the saxophone.

“She always brings something new to the table when it comes to making music and she’s fun to work with in that setting. It’s been really fun getting to play saxophone together with her…she is the most determined person I have ever met. If she wants to accomplish something, it’s getting done,” Madigan said.

Senior Cecilia Stanton, shares how much Cecilia cares for the people she is around.

“Cecilia is so kind and compassionate and she always inspires me to be a better person.  Her passionate activism is inspiring, and I’m so glad to have a friend like her that helps me to be the best person I can be,” she said.

Senior Hannah Coslo and Cecelia share a passion for the Fine Arts.

I love getting to share my passion for theater and music with her. She also has the best humor. I met her by chance at a choir festival in fifth grade, and became closer over the years,” Hannah said.

Senior Noah Gadsby shares that Cecelia can make a difference in a day with just one joke.

My favorite part about being friends with Cecilia is that she always makes me laugh, whether it’s with her or at her. My favorite thing about Cecilia is her kindness and compassion towards others,” he said.

Government teacher Mr. Edward Fitzgerald, lovingly called “Fitz,” has noticed the effect that Cecilia has in his own classroom.

“Cecilia has made an impact in our classroom. She does so by willing to take a risk by sharing an opinion. Moreover, she is willing to agree to disagree, in an appropriate and empathetic way, with those that disagree with her position,” Fitz said.

While he will miss Cecilia, he’s sure it won’t be the last time he’ll be hearing her name.

“I miss all my students, as I teach seniors. However, I always remember this point about students like Cecilia. She is a fine student and person who will go far in life. I am sure we will all be saying ‘we knew her when,’” Fitz said.

Cecelia has some words of advice to the underclassmen.

“Live your life with no regrets, and to consider that although change can often be difficult, it is almost always necessary,” she said.
