On April 27,  the Bellefonte boys lacrosse team took on the Mifflinburg Wildcats for their senior night game, celebrating the graduating student athletes Wesley Badger (14), Logan Williams (28), Shawn Clampet (29/39).

Bellefonte bested the Wildcats in their previous meeting, and his game was no different, as Bellefonte won 19-7 over the Wildcats.

Logan had four goals in the game, along with Wesley not allowing many goals and playing a good game on defense, and Shawn had a good save percentage, not allowing too many goals.

“It was a cool experience, but also sad because I will miss playing with my teammates,” Logan  said.

Shawn showed similar feelings about the game.

“It was bittersweet, we had a lot of fun that game, but just knowing that was going to be one of my last home games was sad,” he said.

Bellefonte saw many people have a successful game, and while the seniors played great games, sophomore Nathan Benner netted four goals against the Wildcats, winning him “Player of the Game.”

It was a good way to send off these seniors, to celebrate them and one of their final home games of their career as a Bellefonte Red Raider in Boys Lacrosse, as well as to build some good momentum as the season is winding down to its final week.

The Red Raiders have had an up and down season showing a lot of spark with younger players playing  a total of 16 games so far this season they are currently seeded as the 4th team in their district playoffs and will be playing #1 seeded Danville.
