Senior Caleb Vinnedge shows his skill and hard work in his accomplishments. He participates in sports including Track and Field, Cross Country, and Ski Club. Along with this, he is also a member of multiple clubs such as Class Cabinet and National Honor Society.
Caleb finds excitement in all of his clubs and sports. He likes engaging in activities with friends and fellow students. One of the sports he participates in, Track and Field, he describes as an exciting experience.
“I really enjoy running and having fun with my other teammates,” he said.
Senior Alexander Crist, a Cross Country and Track member, remarked on his friend’s leadership and friendly attitude.
“We are lucky to have Caleb as a teammate,” Alexander said. “He works hard and is a leader, while making it fun at the same time.”
He also mentioned how inclusive Caleb is on the team.
“He leaves a positive impact by bringing a good attitude to practice and makes everyone feel like they are an important part of the team. I will miss being his teammate when senior track season is over because we do every run together,” Alexander said.
Another teammate, senior Keth Eicholtz, believes that Caleb constantly encourages others.
“It’s fun to have him as a teammate and he always makes practices interesting. As a teammate he always pushes me to do my best,” Keith said.
Ski Club is another sport Caleb participates in. With the upcoming winter season, he has big plans to attend events hosted by the club. This year, he wants to go on the Ski Club Vermont trip and make some positive memories with his peers.
Along with balancing his sports, he is also a hard worker in the classroom. Science teacher Mr. Chris Freidhoff, who had Caleb as a student in AP Biology in the previous year, commented on his ability to achieve good grades while managing sports and clubs.
“Caleb was a great student to have in class. He asked a lot of great questions and always put his best foot forward,” he said. “I love it when student athletes really excel in the classroom. It shows the commitment they have both on the field and in school.“
Caleb is also a part of many activities outside of school. He is a part of Boys Scouts of America. He has also volunteered at the Faith Centre and during Herbies Hometown Loop. Along with this, he enjoys many different types of outdoor adventures, including biking and hiking.
As well as finishing his final year of high school, he is preparing for the next steps in life.
“After Graduation, I plan on attending college and majoring in Biology,” he said.
While gearing up for the last eight months of his high school experience, Caleb leaves some final important thoughts for the upcoming Bellefonte High students.
“My advice to future freshmen is try your best,” he said.
