One of the most active people in the Senior Class and in the running for the top of the class, Carter Boone has a story to share.
He is actively involved in the community, as well as in the school. Carter participates in several clubs, including Raider Revolution, Academic Decathlon, Model UN, National Honors Society, Class Cabinet of 2024, and Spanish Honors Society. Of these clubs, he is the president of Academic Decathlon, secretary of Model UN, recording secretary of the National Honors Society, and the treasurer of the Class of 2024.
Carter’s classmates notice the effort he puts into each of these roles.
“Carter is a student who gives his all in everything he commits to,” senior Bailey Hoff said.
Swimming is also a passion of Carter’s. He has swam for all four years of high school, and also swims for a club outside of school. Carter is active with his team and is told to make them laugh often.
“A positive memory of Carter is all the bus rides home from swim meets when he would make everyone laugh,” junior Adalie Pringle said.
She wasn’t the only one to express their enjoyment of Carter.
“Carter is extremely funny and very hard-working. Just being around Carter is always a good time,” freshman Sydney Fetters said.
History and Psychology teacher Mrs. Christine Morris has had Carter as a student several times, but she is also the student’s neighbor.
“Carter Boone is naturally inquisitive. His desire to excel in the STEM fields is a characteristic that describes his personality. Carter has a combined natural intellect with a tremendous work ethic which allows him to thrive academically. His desire to contribute to our community is one of his most redeeming qualities,” Mrs. Morris said.
The senior has a bright future ahead of him, and while he isn’t committed to any college yet, Carter plans to major in biochemistry.
His hobbies outside of school are studying astronomy and medicine, a large reason for his decided major. Although he isn’t always studying, knowledge is a large part of Carter’s everyday life.
“Carter is very knowledgeable so when you ask him for help or are working with him, he is insanely helpful. He is also willing to help anyone who asks him. His personality is easy to get along with, and he uses his humor to connect with others,” Katelyn Packer, a senior close to Carter, said about her friend.
All in all, Carter Boone is an accomplished senior who has a bright future ahead of him. His friends are supportive and his talents are many.
