She’s a senior of all traits, who is known for her involvement in extracurriculars and academics, as well as being noted for her Raider Pride as this year’s female Raider Nation leader. There is certainly never a dull moment with Sadie Ripka.
Sadie is a very busy student at Bellefonte High. She has worked hard as both a volleyball and softball player, in addition to managing wrestling in her off-season. She is a prominent member of BAHS’s National Honor Society and Raider Revolution. Her dedication has earned her three varsity letters in volleyball, two in softball, three for wrestling management, and two district medals in softball, all while maintaining distinguished honors.
Even with Sadie’s busy schedule, during her last year of high school she is simply “wishing just to always have fun and make the most memories I possibly can.” She is most excited for her senior Homecoming dance, Prom, and of course the big day, graduation.
While looking back on her time at Bellefonte, Sadie said that her favorite memory was sophomore year prom.
“Definitely the most fun dance I had gone to,” she said.
Although Sadie was plenty involved, she wishes that she had been a part of Class Cabinet or Student Council.
“They both seem like a lot of fun!” she said.
BAHS Child Development teacher Mrs. Amy Barth met Sadie when she was 14, just a freshman.
“She’s grown into a beautiful young lady who will make an exceptional teacher! Proud of you always Sadie Mae – the middle child,” said Mrs. Barth
Unsurprisingly, Child Development is one of Sadie’s favorite classes, for the course and the teacher.
After Sadie’s time at Bellefonte is over, she plans on attending Lock Haven University to pursue her dreams of becoming a first grade teacher. Her piece of advice for anyone starting their high school journey is “make as many memories as you possibly can, the four years go by fast!”
Sadie Ripka is a renowned student at BAHS, and while Bellefonte is wishing her the best of luck, she will be missed.
