To begin the 2024-2025 Bellefonte sports seasons, Raider Nation needed brand new people to lead the way during sporting events. Seniors Ryder Hamilton and Sadie Ripka would now be leading the student section.
Bellefonte has had a fairly successful start of year between all sports this fall while the student section backs the teams up supporting them through every second of battle, still supporting them whether it be a win or loss.
Senior and starting quarterback Liam Halterman loves how the student section has been backing the team this year.
“I think that there is a different vibe this year in a good way. I love that they are always hype,” Liam said.
Ryder Hamilton and Sadie Ripka have been getting the student section hyped and into the football games on Friday nights, and Ryder has been getting the student section hyped at volleyball games while Sadie is out on the court.
“I like how involved they are with all of their chants and stuff getting everyone involved. It makes the games really interesting and fun,” senior Shayne Snook said.
Sadie and Ryder were both very excited and happy about the new opportunity ahead of them being the new heads of Raider Nation as they have both seen very great success as athletes.
“I was so very excited when I found out I was going to be the new Raider Nation head. It was such a good opportunity and I was so happy I was chosen. I think I will bring such a positive and happy vibe to our student section,” Sadie said.
Ryder is very enthusiastic and excited about his role as one of the new Raider Nation heads, and he believes that the student section will remain hyped for every team and will affect the other team during games or matches depending on the sport.
“I feel I bring the energy and excitement to the student body, I’m very excited to take this role over and run the student section,” Ryder said.
The student section will continue to be as hype as always no matter what season or sport is as Raider Nation continues to prove they are one of the best if not the best student section in the entire Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference (LHAC).
