Senior Ryder Hamilton has been making plenty of noise recently whether it was last year or over the summer on the basketball court and lacrosse field or this year in the student section as the head of Raider Nation. Regardless, Ryder is definitely a figure many people are familiar with.
Ryder has been a force to be reckoned with on the lacrosse field being the first Bellefonte lacrosse athlete to score 100 goals in a career, he has also been a leader and great teammate to other players on the team.
“He’s very supportive of everyone and really brings the spirit up for the team and community,” junior Owen Herr said.
While being a lacrosse star Ryder has also been making plenty of noise on the basketball court whether it be making big defensive plays or splashing threes on the other team. Ryder will look to take on a bigger role for the team as a leader this upcoming basketball season.
Most recently Ryder has taken over the role as the brand new head of Raider Nation as he leads the rowdy student section during multiple different sporting events getting them hyped up for their team and encouraging them throughout the games.
“My goal in basketball is to enjoy playing the sport and have a good season. My goals for lacrosse is to help keep building the program and have the best season we have had in program history,” Ryder said
During the last lacrosse season Ryder would go on to make history for the program and school as he would go on to score his 100th goal in his career making him the first ever Bellefonte lacrosse history to score 100 goals in a career which is his favorite memory of his athletic career at Bellefonte.
Ryder is very excited about taking over his role as one of the brand new Raider Nation heads alongside Senior Sadie Ripka as he feels he will bring the energy and excitement to the student body.
“I feel excited to take over Raider Nation and run the student section at sporting events.”
Ryder will look to continue his success on and off the field or court throughout his final year in Bellefonte.
