“Outside of school I am a member of the Radiant Life Youth Group, Youth Hunter Education Challenge (YHEC), and Ultra Blues Club Volleyball. As well as working at Ingram’s Market, and volunteering for Operation Christmas Child. I love to go shopping, sleep, do pottery/art, and bake in my free time,” Emma said.
“Emma is a very involved member of the Class Cabinet. As secretary, she does a fantastic job and is always willing to help, share ideas, and do what she can to ensure that her peers have a great senior year,” English teacher and Class Advisor Mrs. Kelley Kreiger said.
Emma is viewed as a hardworking dedicated student in all the activities she participates in. She is dedicated to helping her classmates of 2025, as well as focusing on her own future.
“I plan on attending Penn State University for a business degree in marketing. I would love to start my own business in the future, but would also be interesting in a social media marketing career,” she said.
She is known for helping her peers and treating them all with respect. She truly will be missed next year.
“A team without Emma is hard to imagine because, as our captain, she is like the glue that holds the girls together right now. It will be a hard transition without her witty jokes and motivational spirit. She is a lot of fun to be around, and we will miss her tremendously,” Science teacher and Majorette Coach Mrs. Arimani Davy said.
As a coach to Emma, Mrs. Davy enjoys coaching her. Emma always motivates her teammates and helps make them feel comfortable in the atmosphere. She is not afraid to step up when needed and always puts forth her best effort.
Emma is considered to be a well-rounded student by her teachers.
“She manages numerous extracurricular activities while demonstrating excellence in some of the most challenging classes that BAHS has to offer. Most importantly, Haagen’s outgoing personality is infectious within her sphere of influence,” Math teacher Mr. Matthew McDermit said.
Emma is definitely up for the challenge of hard courses here at BHS. She is also a very valuable peer to her friends.
“Some of my favorite things about her are that she can always make me laugh and that we both have very similar personalities,” senior Ava Hockenberry said.
Ava and Emma have known each other since middle school but connected in high school. They have been friends since freshman year and have overcome their differences to see how valuable their friendship is. Ava believes that Emma is caring and sticks up for what she believes.
Overall Emma is a caring and thoughtful person and respected by all her peers. She is involved in school activities to show how determined she is to live the best life possible.
