Bellefonte has lots of great athletes, with one of those shining stars being sophomore Talia Cotter. Talia plays on the girls basketball team and is overall a great athlete and student as well. 

“Basketball is special to me because I love it and it makes me happy,” she said.

Even as a sophomore, Talia is well-known at Bellefonte High and has a great reputation, making good impressions on everyone she meets. 

Talia has big plans for the future and has considered taking her basketball career to the next level in college.

“I’m still not sure if I’ll play after I graduate but it’s definitely something I’m considering,” Talia said. 

Needless to say, right now she is focused on her high school life. Some students have a rough time balancing school and sports, but Talia is hanging strong and not giving up in her efforts. Even amidst her busy life, she still maintains good relationships with her friends. Among those is junior Gianna Jasseh. 

“Talia is a good friend because she’s always there for everyone and supports them,” Gianna said.

Talia is nothing short of a great friend and an even better person to those around her. She is helpful is so many ways to everyone. 

“Talia has many good qualities, her main quality is her openness to people, as well as doing pregame hair for people,” Gianna said.

Talia still has a long way to go in her high school life she has talent like no other she is truly the definition of hard-working. All we can say now is keep it up and reach for the stars.
