From National Honor Society (NHS) to Jazz Band, Evelyn “Evie” St. Amant is an impactful senior attending Bellefonte High.
Evie is involved in many extracurricular activities, including, Drama Club, FBLA, girls basketball, girls golf, Jazz Band, Key Club, Marching Band, Raider Revolution, and track and field. Within these clubs, she is the vice president of her class, secretary for NHS, and the president of Spanish Honor Society.
Post graduation, Evie already has her life lined up. Taking the inspiration of all of her teachers in previous years, she plans to attend Millersville University and later, become an elementary school teacher.
“I am going to major in Elementary Education and minor in Language Studies,” Evie said. “I also hope to be able to teach elementary children in other countries.”
Being a Class Cabinet officer is no easy task. Evie, however, is able to handle the challenge with relative ease, while succeeding expectations set by her peers.
“Evie is a hard-working student with a consistently pleasant personality. She does a great job in her role and works hard for the Class of 2025,” English teacher and Class advisor Mrs. Kelley Kreiger said.
Evie’s outstanding presence also affects the peers around her. One of her friends, senior Erin Ashe, has been friends with Evie for a long time.
“Evie is just such an amazing person, and a model student. She has helped me through many rough times in my life and stood by me during the good and bad. She has significantly brought a new light to my life and brightens up any room she walks into. She is very sweet and funny and I am so glad to be her friend,” Erin said.
During the fall production of Charlotte’s Web, Evie worked closely with junior Jalyn Meckley to bring the cast to life. Jalyn reminiscences on her experiences working with Evie as a makeup co-chair.
“She helped me with everything while still allowing me to do my fair share, which is all I could ask for. She’s also so insanely generous, providing me and many others with rides to and from rehearsals. Evie really has a gift at making people feel seen and loved,” Jalyn said.
As the year is slowly approaching the homestretch, Evie looks back at her fondest memories and what she’ll miss when Graduation Day inevitably comes.
“One of my favorite moments from high school was joining Drama Club and making so many new friends and memories,” Evie said. “I’ll miss spending every day with my friends, Erin, Izy, and Viv.”
Evie is an outstanding student at Bellefonte High who is paving the way for the underclassmen that look up to her.
