A multitude of new educators have recently graced Bellefonte High, one of which is learning support teacher, Mr. Brandon Auman.
While this is his first year here, Mr. Auman already has years of prior experience helping kids get a better education, and has proved himself to be a remarkable teacher within our school.
Mr. Auman first dreamed of becoming an educator while he was still in school. With this dream, Mr. Auman was motivated to become a leader for all kids. Mr. Auman has traveled the world and has taught in several different countries, all with his original goal of helping kids.
Additionally, it is his philosophy that all kids are capable of incredible things, and this was a big factor in his career path.
“Giving your best effort will always yield positive results either in a desired outcome or constructive feedback that helps you get better,” Mr. Auman said in an email.
Bellefonte has always had a history of great teachers, and Mr. Auman is no exception. Striving for excellence on all fronts, Mr. Auman has proved his willingness to go the extra mile for any student, regardless of the outcome. If there is one thing that all schools desperately need, it is for teachers to build relationships with their students. These relationships often help students do better in school and seemingly develop a more optimistic perspective on life.
“I’m still growing accustomed to a lot of things, but I feel that Bellefonte will be a good fit for me. Students are driven to achieve and are a lot of fun. In any work setting, not just schools, work experiences can really be made positive or negative by those with whom you work, and my team teachers and special education colleagues have been so welcoming, inclusive, and encouraging,” Mr. Auman said.
Although the position could be challenging for some, Mr. Auman has continuously made it clear that this is where he wants to be. Kids from all over our school have agreed that Mr. Auman is already making an impact.
“I have seen Mr. Auman help some kids this year, and it’s pretty clear that this is where he is meant to be,” junior Connor Anderson said.
Bellefonte has always been a safe place for all those who seek out an education, and this is only a reality because of incredibly dedicated teachers like Mr. Auman.
