With the spirit of the holidays surrounding us, the Bellefonte Red and White newspaper staff decided to interview students and staff around the school about what they hope to see under their tree.
Several freshman students including Wyatt Williams, Nolan Shaffer, Mason Grove, and Parker Hillard enjoy spending their time in a treestand or by a steady stream.
“For Christmas I want fishing gear,” Parker said.
English teacher Mrs. Kaitlyn Kennedy thrives in her cozy classroom full of books and comforting led lights.
“I want books, a lot of books!” she said.
Following this year’s trends, people are hoping to see the hottest styles under their trees. Some of the top picks are leopard print tops, low rise jeans, and Adidas campus shoes.
“I want a bunch of clothes, just clothes,” Jamesyn Kelleher said.
Others asked for living, breathing presents. Perhaps a hamster or a new puppy wrapped up in a bow.
“I want clothes and a new puppy,” Peyton Rimmey said.
Several of the boys opted for new toys from hunting gear, to video games.
“I’m hoping for a poker table,” Nathaniel Cherinka said.
Overall, two in five students asked for clothing and accessories, one in five students asked for electronics or video games, two in five students asked for sporting equipment, and one in five students asked for various items like car accessories, water bottles, decorations, etc.
