The NFL season is almost coming to an end. Statements have been made and players have been marked in the history books. Between dynamic plays, jaw-dropping calls, signings, and firings, this year had it all.
Some of the 2024 rookie class showed out this season, including names like Brock Bowers, Jayden Daniels, Ladd McConkey. Jayden Daniels, who was the number two pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders, had a historic year where he threw for 3,568 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. He is currently the front runner for offensive rookie of the year.
There were some of the most monumental plays in the history of all of football this year, including Josh Allen’s receiving touchdown against the 49ers. Allen tossed over to All Pro wide receiver Amari Cooper and he was immediately swarmed by the 49ers defense. Cooper then tossed it back to Allen and Allen ran it in for the touchdown.
Another top play was Jets Wide Receiver Garrett Wilson’s spectacular one-handed grab against the Houston Texans.
However, the one play that will forever go down in the history of all of the NFL was Philadelphia Running Back Saquon Barkley’s backwards hurdle against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Barkley has been such a standout superstar hid entire career and the fact the Barkely of all athletes did this wasn’t a surprise to anyone.
One major question in sports right now is can the Kanas City Chiefs win a Super Bowl three times in a row? Keep in mind that has never been done before the Chiefs are tied for most Super Bowl wins in a row with along with the New England Patriots (2003-2004), Denver Broncos (1997-1998), Pittsburgh Steelers (1978-1979) and more. But nobody in the history of the National Football League has ever three-peated a Super Bowl.
Another high honor during the NFL Playoffs is the Prominent Player of the year awards.
Player of the year awards are handed to both sides of the ball one player from the offensive side and the other from the defensive side. But there is one that is given to the overall best player in the NFL: the elusive MVP award, which is a tight race between four players this year:
Josh Allen, QB, Bills
Lamar Jackson, QB, Ravens
Saquon Barkley, RB, Eagles
Jared Goff, QB, Lions
All of these men are well deserving of the MVP award they all have had one of the best seasons in all of their careers in the 2024-2025 season. But there can only be one man that is called up on stage to receive the award. The question is, who?
