On Sunday, February 16, the NASCAR cup series took the big stage in the “Great American Race,” also known as the Daytona 500. This race would seem to be dominated by the Ford drivers, but in the end, Hendrick motorsports and Chevy driver William Byron would go on to win his second Daytona 500 in a row.
The following week after the Daytona 500, they would travel all the way to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Ambetter 400. This race would see Fords dominate for most of the race yet again, but late in the race Spire Motorsports driver Carson Hocevar would give Joe Gibbs Racing driver Christopher Bell a late surge right before the caution came out giving Bell the win.
NASCAR would take a quick pit stop in Texas taking right and left turns at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) this race would be dominated early by road course superstar Shane Van Gisbergen in his Trackhouse Chevy and Richard Childress Racing driver Kyle Busch who looked to be the heavy favorite throughout the race until once again Christopher Bell come out of nowhere to get his second win of the season.
Starting two back to-back races on the west coast they will travel to Phoenix, Arizona for the Shriners Children 500 which would see much of the same as William Byron and Christopher Bell would be up front for most of the race but a late race caution would set up for overtime a narrow finish between teammates Christopher Bell and Hendrick driver Kyle Larson, where once again for the third time in a row Christopher Bell will become victorious again.
Finishing the west coast double they travel to Las Vegas, Nevada for the Pennzoil 400 which is also home to three of the drivers being Noah Gragson, Riley Herbst, and Kyle Busch. This race would once again see a very strong performance from the Ford camp, especially team Penske drivers Ryan Blaney, Joey Logano, and Austin Cindric. However driver of the Wood Brothers No. 21 Josh Berry would gamble in Vegas and find himself victorious.
Traveling all the way back across the country as the drivers get to take on Homestead-Miami speedway in Miami, Florida. This race would look to be dominated by the Fords specifically by Penske driver Ryan Blaney who was easily the car to beat but unfortunately his engine blew up in the final stage of the race. This would allow Alex Bowman to look like the car to beat until a hard charging Kyle Larson pressured him into a mistake where Kyle Larson would go on to win.
