Brooke Swanger has hit big. Brooke is a junior at Bellefonte High and is a part of the Bellefonte cheerleading team and the Bellefonte softball team.
Throughout her years at BAHS, she has not only made an impact on the softball team, but on the people around her.
“My experience coaching Brooke has been great! She is a great person and softball player. She always works hard and her love for the sport shows. She is always listening and wanting to get better,” Coach Erika said.
Brooke is a determined and skilled player who looks to continue her softball and academic career at Frostburg University.
“I would say softball is an up and down sport but you just have to keep working.”
Though she loves the sport, she also loves the connections she has made with her teammates.
“My favorite thing about softball is playing in pressure situations and having fun with the team,” Brooke said.
Not only does Brooke make an impact in games, but also with her teammates.
“Brooke is a team leader and always helps out other teammates. She’s always kind and overall a great softball player and person,” sophomore Rorie Roan said.
Recently, Brooke has made her verbal commitment to further her athletic and academic career at Frostburg State University.
“Thank you to my friends, family and coaches, especially my dad, for helping me and being there with me along the way. I couldn’t have done it without them! And thank you to Coach Bill for offering me this amazing opportunity,” Brooke said.
