Being in a positive mood all the time is a rare skill that can uplift the community and generate positivity. Will Oskin, is a senior known for possessing these traits. This is something that Will stands by. Whether walking around the halls or in the middle of downtown Bellefonte, you will see Will with a smile on his face.
Overall Will puts in the work and it shows on so many levels mentally and physically.
¨What makes Will stand out from everyone else is that he might not know what he is doing, but he will still give 100% and will then ask questions if he doesn’t know,¨ Senior Logan Rarrick said.
Not many students know what the future is going to hold for them after their time at Bellefonte High has come to an end. From kindergarten orientation all the way to high school graduation, life moves quickly.
Will is already one step ahead. He knows what he wants.
¨I would like to go to college, I have not yet decided on a major I would like to pursue. Post college I would like to pursue a career in Carpentry,¨ Will said.
From his early days at Marion Walker Elementary, Will has always worked his absolute hardest every step of the way. Will has always kept moving forward no matter what life throws at him. When asked what word he´d use to describe Will with senior Logan Rarrick said, ¨Resilient. Will wasn’t always in the position he is in today. He learned and persevered through a lot to grow into the player he is today.¨
There have been many people that have impacted Will´s life immensely especially former and current coaches that have made sure Will gives 110% every time. One of these people is none other than Coach Shannon Manning.
“My Favorite coach is Shannon Manning. He has strong morals, is selfless, and demands the best from you every day and wants nothing but the best for his athletes. If you’re willing to work for him, he’ll do everything he can to work with you,¨ Will said.
Not only have you seen Will playing on the football field but you’ve probably seen him giving it his all playing Lacrosse for the school as well. Lacrosse is one of Will´s big plans for his future and rightfully so. ¨I plan to try to pursue lacrosse in college,¨ said Will. Playing two sports is not an easy job; it is double the games, double the practices, and double the work. But that´s what Will is all about no matter the challenge and no matter the struggles that will come with it.
