With the new school year in full swing, the brand new senior class, the Class of 2026, demonstrates their excellence in many levels of achievements, and senior Sadie Stodart is no exception.
Sadie is the vice-president of the Class of ‘26, the president for Band, and drum major for Marching Band. Her clubs consist of National Honor Society (NHS), Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Raider Revolution, Jazz Band, and Big Brothers, Big Sisters. Outside of school, Sadie is a dance instructor at Lucky Star Dance Company.
As a senior, Sadie is faced with a variety of choices for college, a decision that is ultimately life deciding due to commitment. Even though there are many uncertainties with choosing the correct college, or major, Sadie has her heart set on one specific thing.
I plan to go to College, pursuing something in the business field, though I don’t know exactly what yet,” Sadie said.
Another pressure with being a senior is leaving your mark. Students have four whole years to build a legacy that will be left behind at Bellefonte High.
“Once I graduate, I know I will look back at the memories I have made in each of the clubs I’ve gotten to be a part of,” Sadie said, “Each of them holds something different and special, with different groups of people coming together for their different purposes.”
Yet, as this is Sadie’s final year, graduation looms over her. These final days of her high school career are not only crucial for colleges, but also for memories.
“I am happy for the opportunities I’ve gotten to experience while in High School. It’s given me the experience to put myself out there and learn about myself, something I only hope to continue to do.”
As she prepares to graduate, Sadie thinks about lessons that she has learned throughout her high school years.
“To the underclassmen, I ask everyone to remember to show kindness in everything you do. It doesn’t take much to be good to others, to treat them with the same level of respect you would wish to be shown,” she said, “High School could be such a different experience for so many people if we all did this.”
As the final year of her high school starts, Sadie is well-prepared for what this year throws at her.
