Mason Stroud is a very involved person here at BHS. He participates in sports, is a member of multiple clubs, and has also received academic recognition.
“In both my sports and my clubs, my main goal is to make everyone feel comfortable and relaxed,” senior Mason Stroud said.
He is the class of 2026 president, a member of National Honor Society (NHS), a member of the Student Council, a member of the class cabinet, and plays for the Bellefonte High (BHS) soccer and lacrosse teams.
“This year, one of my main goals is to make sure we have a good senior trip, along with other senior events, and I think we as a class can make it happen through teamwork and creative thinking,” he said.
His campaign manager, senior Elijah Davis, recalls Mason doing his GMM (Get More Math) points and making memories together.
“For his 13th birthday party, he rented a limo, and we rode around, so that was cool,” Elijah Davis said.
Mason can be described as a terrific student with a sense of humor. He is a confident guy who isn’t afraid to take risks and be himself.
“Stroud was one of the ‘kingpins’ whom students looked to for help on their problem sets,” said math teacher Mr. Matthew McDermitt.
He is a great student who has taken AP (Advanced Placement) classes in the past, such as AP Calculus AB, AP Chemistry, and AP Computer Science and Government.
“Some of my achievements academically would be making it into the National Honor Society and maintaining a solid GPA above 97 through high school,” he said.
He is focused on this year and plans to attend college, but he’s not sure what major he wants to pursue. So he decided he would “just wing it.”
He tries to listen to everyone in his clubs and get to know as many people as he can in his sports. Mason is helpful and hardworking. He truly is an amazing student here at BHS.
