On May 2, 2026 Miss Bellefonte was crowned. Kayla Leddy, a Junior here at Bellefonte High, has been waiting for this moment since her Freshman year. After watching her friends work to win this title, Kayla knew she would be the perfect fit. Kayla has always strived for perfection and to be a responsible, respectful, and kind student.

“I would say the most challenging part of running was mentally preparing myself for anything. This year all of these girls were so incredible and involved in the school and I feel like any and all of them would have represented our school so well” Kayla said.

One person that Kayla looked up to was her mom. “She has supported me so much and helped me come up with ideas, helped me whenever I needed it, and after winning helped me find ideas of how to bring Miss. Bellefonte into the community.” Kayla said.

Not only does the title of Miss Bellefonte mean a lot to Kayla, but it means a lot to the community. The impact Kayla will have on the community and the young girls inspiring to follow in her footsteps will be incredible. Knowing she can use her faith to help others and bring this to the community means a lot.

Overall, Kayla is a hardworking and determined girl looking to make an impact on the community and to inspire young girls.
