From royal blue to fluffy pink. From heartbreak to healing. Recently, Megan Moroney
announced a new album called Cloud 9. She had a countdown on her website, and when it expired, she announced that she would be releasing her new album Cloud 9 on February 20.
While not much about the album yet, we do know it’s pink. She has revealed that “Beautiful Things,” “6 months later,” and “Cloud 9” are all songs that will be on the album. There will be 15 tracks featured on this album
“Megan has described this album as ‘an exploration of her most confident self,’” an interview said.
Many fans believe this will be a more upbeat and happy album, the opposite of her last release, Am I Okay.
The color of her previous album was dark blue, and the album was more somber, with songs revolving around themes of revenge, loss, and breakups. Overall, fans expect this album to have happier themes, such as loving yourself, growing up, moving on, and other similar topics.
Recently, Meagan Moroney performed at the CMAs. She performed “6 Months Later.”
“I love this song; it’s relatable, and I thought she sounded great. I liked how her performance was so pink,” said junior Rorie Roan.
While Meagan did not take home any awards, she was nominated for 6 awards. She was one of the artists with the most nominations, tied with Ella Langley and Laney Wilson.
Overall, fans are excited for this new chapter and to see what comes next on February 20.
