Jordan is a freshman on the Bellefonte girls’ softball team. She plays catcher, 3rd base and left field. She has been playing softball for 6 years. Jordan is a dedicated softball player and a helpful teammate.
“Jordan is consistent, dependable, and always willing to put in the work. She shows up ready to learn, listens well, and gives her best effort at the task at hand.” says softball coach Erica DeVinney (Coach E).
While Jordan has just started her high school softball career, she has already made so many memories that she will keep with her forever.
“Softball has impacted my life in many ways from meeting new people to playing the sport I love. One big impact would be teaching me to work harder every time to be the best I can be” says Jordan.
Jordan has been a key aspect to the Lady Raiders success this season. She contributes to the team by being a reliable player. She is a strong hitter and has great defensive plays on the field.
“Jordan does a nice job at staying focused and giving 100% effort while she is on the field. She makes smart, simple plays and handles pressure well. She’s reliable in her position and gives solid effort every time she’s out there” says Coach E.
Quiet and reliable players are often overlooked but Jordan is a force to be reckoned with. It’s hard to overlook Jordan when her teammates and coaches value her so much.
Behind every athlete there is a number one fan that supports and uplifts them at all times for Jordan, that is her dad.
“My dad has impacted me the most throughout playing softball because he was my first coach and taught me everything I know about softball. He admires my passion to continue on and is always my biggest fan and supports and encourages my goals.” says jordan
The team has had a season record of 10-10 this season. They have just secured the district 6 class AAAA championship against Juniata 5-2. They are currently playing in the state playoffs. The team won their state bid 18-1 against Carrick. Good luck in the off season girls!
