Gunther, only a freshman here at Bellefonte High, has made his mark on the Boys Varsity Lacrosse team. Starting in fourth grade, Gunther knew this sport was for him. One person Gunther looks up to the most is Biology teacher and Lacrosse coach Mr. Aumiller.
“Gunther is a really kind, smart and genuine kid. He listens and pays attention when coaches are working with him, asks questions when he’s confused and treats people the right way. You can’t ask for much more from an athlete than that” Mr Aumiller said.
One thing that makes Gunther a hard working athlete is his determination. From working on his lacrosse skills outside of practice to making adjustments to his game, Gunther is a hard working athlete. “He focuses during practice and then puts the extra time in his off time to really push himself.” Mr Aumiller said.
One of Gunther’s favorite memories from being on the team this year is having a 9 point game with 5 goals and 4 assists. Another huge accomplishment for Gunther is being chosen for the “Player of the Game” award after two of the Boy’s lacrosse games. After high school, Gunther plans on going to Penn State and playing club lacrosse.
Overall, Gunther is a hard working athlete with lots of potential in his future.
