Zoey Wilson is a Junior at Bellefonte High, not only known for her skills on the field, but
her skills outside of it.
“One of my favorite memories is just all the little moments with my team, like the bus
rides, team bonding, and fun Friday practices. One thing I like about this team is it’s not only
about winning, it is the friendships and memories we’ve all made together that mean the most to
me” Zoey said.
One of Zoey’s biggest accomplishments is how much she has grown over time. Seeing
how far she has come and being able to contribute to her team means a lot to her. “It makes me
really grateful for everything this team has given me.” Zoey said.
One of the people Zoey looks up to the most is her coach.
“I look up to my coach the most because he taught me that life is really about the little things. Whether it’s small
improvements, supporting your teammates, or just showing up everyday, those little moments
add up and make a big difference” Zoey said.
One thing Zoey has learned this year was that It’s not always about the big wins, but it’s
the effort the team and herself puts in that ends up meaning the most.
After high school, Zoey plans on going to college to hopefully continue her lacrosse
career. She wants to keep growing both as a player and a person and make the most out of the
opportunities she is given.
This past month, the Bellefonte Girls’ Lacrosse team played away against Mifflin
County. Zoey was a massive help in getting the 14-2 win for Bellefonte. Zoey scored four goals,
had two draw controls, and six ground balls. Overall, she was one of the main players that led
this team to its victory.
