Growing up, Gavin’s days were filled by sports, dirtbikes, and winning. Gavin is a gifted golfer and racer who leads others to chase after their passions and dedicate time and energy into perfecting a sport they are passionate about.
Gavin was always on the go with sports like baseball, golf, and occasionally racing dirtbikes. He learned at a young age that if you want to be good at anything you need to practice and dedicate yourself.
From a young age, Chalfa looked up to his dad.
“I looked to my dad because he taught me that if you want to be good at anything in life, you need to put in the work every single day,” explained Gavin. Many of his sports and passions came from his father’s hobbies and interests as well. They are able to play and practice together which has been a rewarding experience.
If Gavin were to restart high school he would tell himself, “Enjoy yourself, be nice to your teachers, and live life as a teenager while you can because someday you’ll look back and those years will be over.” He has enjoyed being in his favorite teacher, Mrs. Geiger’s class. He appreciates how much she cares for her students and how well she supports them.
“I think that Gavin is a good role model and very athletic” Jacob Bowman. Gavin is a great kid, he’s nice, kind, caring, sweet, but fun to be around and that’s hard to find in some people.
“His golfing skills have grown a lot. He has raw talent but he also works for everything he has. While performing well for the team; he is the real MVP” said Mr. Harman, Bellefonte Physics teacher and Golf coach.
Though Gavin’s high school life has come to an end, his journey is just beginning. He has been loved and will be missed by the Bellefonte community. We are proud to have called him our own.
