The girls track and field team has been on a roll as of recently. Anna Tyson, Althea Helms, Madyson Miller, and Addison Fry have been running through the records in the 4 by 8 and 4 by 4.
These stars have broken the school record by 22 seconds this year for the 4 by 8 and one second for the 4 by 4. It was a goal for the girls to break the relay records, not only for fun but to qualify for states.
“Hopefully we qualify for states in the 4 by 8, the 4 by 4 as well. If we do qualify for the 4 by 8 I definitely think we have a chance to place as of right now we are 6th in the state. Overall, I just want to make it there and be able to run there,” Madyson Miller said.
The 4 by 8 qualified for states but their times weren’t at their . The pouring rain was hindering people’s abilities to produce the results they wanted. Nonetheless, they still did amazing so that just means they can do even better. Also, the 4 by 8 had two alternates freshman Haddie Lutz and senior Natalie Jolley.
These girls show extraordinary determination and everyone’s certain they will crush it at states.
