There’s a new business in State College with a line wrapped around the building. Many students of Bellefonte High have had a mixture of experiences, good and bad.
Junior, Maya Patel recently tried the new coffee shop. She ordered an iced blonde extra sweet, with cold foam, adding white chocolate and cupcake syrup. It cost her $8.
“I had a bad experience. I paid for a customized drink, and they gave me something totally different that didn’t taste good. I didn’t get any of the modifications that I paid for,” said Maya.
Another junior, Cheyenne Lose, got a cookie butter drink and rated it a 6/10. Her wait wasn’t long, but she prefers Dunkin or Starbucks.
“My experience was fine, but I wouldn’t go back because I’ve had better at Starbucks. Also, even though my wait wasn’t long, I can walk into Starbucks and pick up my drink within 30 seconds, instead of waiting five minutes,” Cheyenne said.
The new business impacted the community by giving a donation to Penn State’s THON after their ribbon-cutting ceremony that morning. They donated over $7,000 and supported the fight against pediatric cancer through the Four Diamonds Fund.
7 Brew officially opened on December 9, 2025, at 1923 S. Atherton St. in the Hills Plaza. They offer over 20,000 drink combinations, including coffee, energy drinks, and smoothies. They are open Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Go support the local business and give it a try!
