Whether it’s in the classroom, or on the volleyball court Ella Novitsky is in the spotlight. She plays volleyball and is the Raider Nation Leader here at Bellefonte.
Ella started playing volleyball in middle school and continues to play to this day. Ella also participates in Ski Club, Key Club, Class Cabinet, Spanish Honors Society, and National Honors Society. She is also a Raider Nation Leader, or the student section leader.
She does this alongside Wyatt Long, and you can always count on them to bring electricity to sporting events. They create fun themes like blackout, USA, and costume night at football games.
After graduating, Ella wants to go to either the University of Pittsburgh or the University of Tampa. She plans to major in psychology and later become an art therapist, specializing in pediatrics.
“I’ll be sad to see her graduate, but I’m equally excited to see where her artistic skills take her in life’s adventures,” said Mrs. McClure.
“I look up to Mrs. McClure, the ceramics and art teacher. I’ve been in her class every year, and she is a very positive person,” Ella said. Obviously, Mrs. McClure has helped inspire Ella in choosing an art career. Ella is in Mrs. Welsh and Mrs. McClure’s art classes. Mrs. McClure has found Ella to be gifted in 2-d and 3-d art, which is very rare.
“Ella has been a true joy to work with over the years! She is independently motivated to reach her high goals she sets for herself and works hard at intertwining the project guidelines and it’s been interesting watching her grow in her talent and produce art she is proud of. She is a very talented student and takes initiative to discover new ways to accomplish her vision,” said McClure.
It is very true that Ella’s art on the court and canvas is an inspiration to many.
