The end of the semester is swiftly approaching as seniors at Bellefonte High scramble to prepare for their last 18 weeks as high school students. During this time, senior Emma Gadsby, looks back at her past school years, and prepares for her future.
Emma is involved in many extracurriculars, such as Concert Choir, Chorale, National Honor Society (NHS), Student Council, and even both a competitive dancer and a girl scout outside of school.
Choosing a college and major tends to be a difficult decision for most seniors. However, Emma has her heart set on furthering her education.
“I hope to attend Penn West, California University campus to become a veterinary technician,” Emma stated.
As she has been building relationships with other students, and has spent the past four years in high school, it is inevitable that Emma has made some amazing friends and memories within these walls.
“I have made so many friends through school, I have met so many incredible teachers who have become such a big part in my life,” she said.
“[Emma] sits next to me in choir! She has helped me a lot with the music, and also helped guide me through physics last year,” senior Raven Harter said.
Leaving behind a legacy is something that everyone does as a senior. Be it through actions, grades, or friends, a piece of them will always be in the school. For Emma, this is no exception.
“Make friends and connections with others, whether it’s kids in your grade or your teachers. Having someone to rely on and talk to is very important,” Emma said.
Emma Gadsby is only one of Bellefonte’s exceptional students, and everyone will be cheering her on as she graduates into the next chapter of her life.
