Wyatt Long, a Senior here at Bellefonte High, has taken down the senior class. Wyatt is a part of the Bellefonte Boys’ wrestling team and the head of Bellefonte’s Raider Nation squad.
“My favorite memory is when the Football team whooped up on Philipsburg on homecoming and the student section was hyped,” Wyatt said.
One person Wyatt looks up to is history teacher and wrestling coach Mr, Maney. “I’ve always looked up to Mr. Maney. He is a beast at wrestling and he is a great role model and a great person to be around and has to be the best wrestler I know,” Wyatt said.
“My favorite memory with Wyatt is one probably off the mat. Jackson and Wyatt, as with a lot of my wrestlers, have always been great with my kids. This is something I will always be grateful for and why I love bringing my own kids around the team. One of my daughters, Harper, has always had a crush on Wyatt. When he was a 9th grader, he was by far the smallest on the team; I think he weighed around 90 lbs as a freshman. He has always been really nice to her & she is his biggest fan,” Mr Maney said.
For the last 4 years, Wyatt has always been a hard worker in the wrestling room and someone who represented the wrestling program well. While being a hard working athlete and student, he’s also very supportive of his teammates and wants them to succeed just as much.
Overall, Wyatt is a hard working student and a hard working athlete. His hard work and dedication has not only impacted him inside of school, but outside as well.
